Summary: Set sometime after CotW. There's a reason Ray never talks about his brother.
AN: This was inspired by the fact that RayK's brother was mentioned on an official web page but never in canon.
Ray striped off his black suit jacket and plain dress shirt; they fell to the floor in a heap of wool and cotton. Wearing a suit, Ray always felt as if he was being smothered, but it made his mom happy, at least a little. Every year they'd go to the cemetery and every year his mom would cry.
Ray's apartment was dark.
Ray walked into his bedroom and saw that Fraser was asleep. Ray smiled; Frannie's munchkins wore out even a Mountie.
Ray climbed into bed and pressed himself against Fraser's back. Ray held Fraser as tight as he could and placed his hand against Fraser's chest. Fraser's heartbeat was strong and steady. In the morning Ray would tell Fraser about his trip to the cemetery, but right now all he wanted was sleep.
As Ray fell asleep, he felt Fraser's hand on top of his.
Ray never told anyone, but the reason he took his brother's pet turtle was because, back then, he thought Jake would come back. Even though Ray wasn't a kid anymore, and his brother had been dead for a long time, he still couldn't part with Speedy. He needed a reminder of his brother.
